Mindfulness Coaching, what to expect:

  • Receive one on one meditation training 
  • Establish a strong daily mindfulness practice
  • Establish a toolkit for staying centered
  • Overcome obstacles and barriers to practice
  • Optional qigong training

Sessions are 50 minutes and take place in an online video call (zoom), or in a nature location.

Sessions are $50 per session, payable through Venmo. Insurance does not cover "Heart Work" sessions. There are currently three sliding scale slots available for folks with low-income.

Health Benefits of mindful movement & meditation

Hundreds of physiological and psychological health outcomes have been identified amidst nearly a thousand research studies on the health effects of practices that promote mindfulness. Common reoccurring themes in research include:
  • Improved cardiovascular health
  • Increase immune response
  • Improved sleep
  • Reduction in chronic pain
  • Reduction in anxiety
  • Reduction depression

Increases Brain Function and Health
Our data indicate that regular practice of meditation is associated with increased thickness in a subset of cortical regions related to somatosensory, auditory, visual and interoceptive processing. Further, regular meditation practice may slow age-related thinning of the frontal cortex.

Qi Gong

Increases Heart and Circulatory Health
​Seven studies on Qigong reported favorable cardiovascular and/or pulmonary outcomes. One of the most consistent findings was the significant reduction in blood pressure. Other indicators of cardiac health have been evaluated. Reduced heart rate is reported as well as increases in heart rate variability.

Paul's experience in mindfulness

Paul's MA degree program, "East-West Psychology", provides deep study into the roots of mindfulness traditions, as well as the science behind the psychological effects of the practice. Paul has been an avid meditator for a decade. He has attended dozens of day-long mindfulness retreats and workshops, as well as two week-long meditation retreats. Paul has held a consistent daily practice including yoga, qigong, and meditation.
